Castase® is indicated for malnourished cancer patients.
The nutritional status of the patient will be regularly reevaluated.
The lengths of the proposed programs are just a recommendation. The initial length should be a maximum of 30 days, to be renewed a maximum of 3 months.
Nutritional programs:
1) Castase® intensive5 Castase® /day + 1 breakfast polyamine low x 2 weeks
In what cases: a) Neo-adjuvant situations (surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy), b) Palliative care
2) Castase® standard
4 Castase® /day + 1 breakfast and 1 meal, both polyamine low x 3 weeks
In what cases: a) Adjuvant situations, b) Post-operative or peri-chemotherapy/radiotherapy
3) Castase® maintenance3 Castase® /day+ 1 breakfast and 2 meals, both with low polyamine levels x 3 renewable months
In what cases: a) Maintenance phase, b) Palliative care
* it is recommended to associate Castase® to meals with the lowest possible polyamines content.
